Academy of Information Technology

The Academy of Information Technology curriculum is developed with leading representatives from industry and education to ensure that courses are both current and relevant.  By integrating necessary workplace skills in the classroom, students come to understand the connection between academic learning and career success. Students may take classes as general electives or enroll in AOIT as a major at RBRHS. Courses listed under Applied Technology, Pre-Engineering and Comp-TIA Certification also can be enrolled in for AOIT credit. Students enrolled in AOIT must also participate in a Summer Internship at the end of their Junior year which places them in a related industry.

There are four different tracks that students can concentrate on in AOIT: Computer Science, Computer Applications, Pre-Engineering or Computer Networking Systems. For more information on majoring in AOIT see your guidance counselor for course sequencing for each of the study tracks.
